BBSAF Highlandar's Holly of Plumeria

Genotype: Ee Classic Grey!!! Who would have thought that Highlandar is a grey in hiding! I love doing these color tests as they open up a whole new range of options! If you are looking to diversify and upgrade your herds genetics, Highlandar is the perfect herdsire! Highlandar is just about as perfect as they come and has the most mellow personality! Highlandar’s lineage is phenomenal! On the sire side is Snowmass Matrix Belvedere, Snowmass Matrix, 6Peruvina Accoyo Elite, and 4Peruvian Legacy. On the dam side is The Elite Maximus, Accoyo America Marathon, and Peruvian Hemingway. Highlandar has done well in the showring with a Color Champ in 2019 and in the Iowa Fall 2020 shows coming in a very close 2nd to the 2020 National Supreme Color Champ. Judges loved his conformation, density, high frequency bundling crimp, and consistency throughout his fleece. Highlandar has produced so well for Plumeria Alpaca Ranch. His offspring have all inherited Highlandar's laid back, mellow personality. This is a trait that you can't put a price on!! His crias have also ranged in all colors from white to fawns to true black. They have amazing crimp, density, and fineness. I am retaining 3 breeding females from Highlandar, 2 of them have been blue ribbon winners and the 3rd hasn't shown yet as she is only a couple months old. I'm also retaining his 2026 fawn male who is looking phenomenal at 3 months old. I run a very small herd so Highlandar is not getting to do his job nearly enough. Highlandar is one of those extraordinary boys who can use their nose to smell when a girl is open or not. He doesn't just try and breed by force.
