Genotype: Ee a2a3
Perseus won 2nd Place at the 2024 AOA National Show in Walking Fleece and 4th in Halter against some incredible competition!!!
Perseus took 2 first places in Walking Fleece in Iowa Mega Show in Oct 2024 and 1 first and 2 seconds in the halter competitions. Judges comments are extremely favorable: Very fine, bright, organized crimp. Dense. Uniformity of micron between the white and brown fibers.
Perseus has a couple dozen spots throughout his blanket and the spots are also seen on one ear! He has several larger splotches of color, with one being heart shaped...he also has some splotches on his face and 4 brown feet. He is likely a spotted Pinto rather than a true appaloosa. A spotted pinto typically presents with more speckled spotting and darker coloring on the face/muzzle. Either way he is ADORABLE!
Perseus has great confirmation, solid bone structure with a broad chest on a square frame. His fiber is soft and slick feeling (almost a greasy feel to the fiber) with beautiful crimp and structure. He also has the sweetest most gentle personality and is excellent for going on an alpaca walk!
As for his sire and dam...not too shabby!!
Perseus's sire is KCF Magnetar a 3x Champion and known for his fineness, crimp, and uniformity. Magnetar's sire is KCF Isidoro who is a 17xCC and 6xSpirit of Industry award.
Perseus's dam is Fortunato's Ali-Accoyo Bianca or better known as the dam of 2017 National Supreme Champion MMFA Ganymede! Bianca has great conformation, with good bone, a correct bite; and an abundant fleece with excellent density -- and she has passed on her great qualities to her offspring!
